Not only an image tour

Unlike most other virtual tour designers, my speciality is not photography. What I aim to do is to give users the ultimate immersive experience using creative technology. My tours are presented using low pixel density in Flash Player making it fast to load. Each tour is created around an individual expression of the location using directional sound features and links which can bring in text, video or other files to enhance user awareness of the unique features of the location - simple things like if there is a street, we hear cars, if there is a yacht we hear the wind, a secretary we hear a keyboard and so on.

About me

I am Garry Murrie, now officially capped BSc (Hons) in Web Design Development. I love a challenge and putting myself through the University of Abertay, Dundee, as a very mature student certainly was that. I started out wanting to learn more about computers but very quickly, I and my objectives evolved with the learning process. I discovered that I am someone who is primarily visually stimulated and instead of building websites in html, CSS, PHP, I much prefer to make virtual tours which I see as visual websites. I really enjoy and derive great pleasure from putting together pictures and sound. I can do it all day long and not tire.

Search Engine Optimisation is one of my favourite pastimes and it is something that I will do for all the tours which I produce. This means that your tour may well pop up for someone who typed in a keyword search say “fishing tackle Dundee” and I would hope Anglers Choice will appear in its own right as a panorama of the shop, independent of its website. The same can be done for any business; it is a case of getting the keywords right. If someone finds your panoramic tour never fear there will be a link on it directing users to your website. You can see an example of this by visiting a website I compiled as an experiment in optimisation. This business is located in Dundee and deals in making and fitting cornices. Imagining a customer looking for cornice in Dundee, what might they type as a Google search term.

If you try these keyword searches in Google, I hope that you will see a business called cornicesrus.co.uk somewhere near the top of the first page in the search results. Proof of my SEO credentials.
